The Story of The Bridge

Building bridges is a part of the work we do everyday and foundational to our mission in working with athletes. We build bridges relationally, culturally, and physically by creating space for you to explore your own unique lived experiences, connect with your body and your emotions, and empower you to build community and connection as you start to understand and connect with your own value, worth, and who you are as a whole person.

Meet Lindsey

As a former collegiate athlete, Lindsey Landgrebe is passionate about giving back to the next generation through supporting the efforts of de-stigmatizing mental health in sport and creating greater access to evidence-based interventions for athletes. She recognizes the nuances of sport culture and understands the unique experiences of athletes as she has had experiences as a multi-sport athlete, youth club soccer coach, mental performance coach, and now as a licensed mental health provider.

Lindsey is a Licensed Counseling and Sport Psychologist and supports athletes and high performers to maximize the intersection of their overall mental health and performance. She completed her doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri-Columbia where she also completed her master’s in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology. She completed her APA-accredited internship at the University of Iowa where she provided services through both the Counseling Center and Athletic Department.

Lindsey specializes in supporting athletes struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), identity development, the mental and emotional recovery from injury, trauma, body image distress, eating concerns and disordered eating. She has supported athletes competing at the professional and Olympic levels, collegiate athletes, and teens competing at the high school and club levels.

Lindsey also has specialized training supporting athletes struggling with their relationship with food, their body, and compulsive exercise. She has experience working at all levels of care – residential to outpatient – providing eating disorder treatment for athletes. She oversaw a PHP/IOP treatment program for athletes in Denver before shifting to private practice. She is also passionate about providing education and training on the early identification and intervention of eating disorders in sport as well as implementing preventative interventions for athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, dietitians, and other medical providers.
